Take time to be Grateful
Deepak Chopra is quoted as saying,”Gratitude opens the door to the power, the wisdom and the creativity of the universe. You open the door through gratitude.”
Might I suggest that you remember these words this week. And begin a daily gratitude practice. Take a moment each day to write down, or at least think to yourself, about three things you are grateful for. And they can be simple things, like running water, air conditioning, your dog’s tail wagging when you come home. And try not to repeat yourself. Embracing a daily gratitude practice will get you to the point that, before long, you will be grateful for everything in your life, including the disappointments, which are devastating in real time, but eventually become life learning tools.
Once your gratefulness list grows, you will soon find yourself grateful for the totality of your existence. Soon you will shift from living in “lack” to living in “abundance”; And abundance leads to more gratitude which leads to more abundance and the cycle continues.
The most spiritually evolved amongst us, say little prayers of gratitude all day, for everything, allowing them to live in a state of perpetual grace. Their sense of abundance is infectious and all who come in contact with them are better for the experience.
This Thanksgiving, try not to dwell on what you lack, be grateful for what you have, fell the abundance and spread it to all you know. We need that now, more than ever!
