ESSENTIAL NOURISHMENT

ESSENTIAL NOURISHMENT

In the practice of integrative nutrition, lifestyle issues are as important as food, exercise and medicine, if not more so. Health and wellness can only be achieved if you are satisfied with these aspects of your life. Relationships, occupation and spirituality are the most important lifestyle issues to affect health. I refer to these as essential nourishment. The Institute for Integrative Nutrition refers to them as “Primary Food”. Without balance in these areas of our lives, adequate nutrition is incomplete.

A “Satisfaction Gap” exists if there is a difference between where you are in your essential nourishment status and where you would like to be. For example, if the most important relationships in your life are not mutually satisfying to you, a satisfaction gap exists. This leads to stress which promotes the “fight or flight” response which can lead to disease and/or premature death. The same is true if your day to day work life is out of sync with your essential self. This is also true if your spiritual life unsatisfying to you.

I can help you with this. A fairly brief (30-45 minutes) free health/life coaching appointment can help you identify these sources of inadequate essential nourishment in your life. This can be done with a quick phone call, email or text exchange. Then, if you agree to work with me, we can identify strategies for aligning the aspects of your life with your needs and desires, creating inner peace and health,
