About Drs. John and Lisa Monaco

 

Dr. Lisa Monaco, formerly Dr. Lisa Rodriguez, spent her Michigan and Arizona youth equally interested in both art and tools. It is no wonder, then that her work today involves utilizing state of the art technology and sophisticated equipment to sculpt beautiful bodies!

 

She is a graduate of USF medical school where she also completed residency training in Pediatrics and worked for many years on the faculty of the University’s Pediatric Department. As a teacher of young doctors and doctors in training, she won awards for her expertise and humanitarianism. During her multi - decade career in hospital medicine, she rose to the top of education and administrative leadership while maintaining a stellar reputation amongst those in the medical community who have worked with Dr. Lisa at USF and Tampa General Hospital. 

 

For the last several years, Dr. Lisa has been training in aesthetic medicine, receiving certifications  in the most up to date modalities utilized by practitioners in the field today. Most recently, she obtained the Viora V-20 multi-function platform and has been intensively trained in all its modalities including Radio frequency (RF) and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL). With this technology, she is able to perform  procedures which  customarily require “down time”, or even surgery. She can now perform skin tightening, tissue rejuvenation and wrinkle  removal as well as fat reduction and hair elimination with a minimal amount of discomfort and time away from work and family. In addition she continues to create fine works of art.

 

Dr. John Monaco grew up in upstate New York, where his aspiration was to choose a profession where he could “help people”. After graduating from the University of Buffalo medical school he completed his pediatric residency and critical care training at University of Florida branches in Orlando and Gainesville respectively. The hallmark of his clinical career was founding and directing one of the first community hospital based Pediatric Intensive Care Units in the U.S. in Louisville, KY. He and his family relocated to the Tampa area in 1992 to founded a similar unit at Brandon Regional Hospital. Realizing the next phase of his caregiving career centered around prevention and wellness, he received certification as a Health Coach by the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.  He has also authored a half dozen books, primarily to do with self help and health, and additionally published his first novel last year.

 

His  Health Coaching practice involves empowering clients to achieve their personal health and wellness goals by utilizing the body’s ability to heal itself and the instinctive knowledge we all possess to optimize lifestyle and nutrition decisions. He can work with clients in his office or theirs, the client’s homes or by telephone or online. He provides the accountability, guidance and encouragement folks need to make healthier decisions and live their best lives.

 

In 2019, Drs. Lisa and John joined forces by getting married, then during the pandemic of 2020, further collaborated by creating MONACO Wellness, dedicated to the principles of rejuvenation and transformation to achieve personal fulfillment and well being.
